Course Description

This lecture will provide an update on Digital Technology being offered in Implant Dentistry, as well as Restorative options through CAD/CAM Technology.

*Understanding how Digital CAD/CAM Dentistry can incorporate with the current workflow with the increase of the efficacy of implant       placement and restoration

*Understanding the Development of the latest technologies in dentistry to achieve an ultimate predictable outcome

Speaker Biography

Dr. Yo-wei Chen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He received his dental degree (D.D.S.) from the Taipei Medical University in Taiwan in 2011. Dr. Chen completed his postgraduate year (PGY) residency training at Taipei Medical University Hospital in Taiwan. He also worked in private practice before moving to the United States. He completed his advanced Education in Prosthodontics and Master of Science at Tufts University in 2018. Dr. Chen also serves as a reviewer for several peer-reviewed journals.
Dr. Chen is board eligible in prosthodontics and a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, International Team for Implantology, and Academy of Osseointegration. His clinical areas of interest focus on fixed and removable prostheses, implant dentistry, minimally invasive dentistry, esthetic dentistry, and full mouth rehabilitation. His research interests focus on digital dentistry, implant dentistry, dental material, and artificial intelligence in dentistry.
